Why should I travel with New England Snow Bus?

The New England Snow Bus is new to the winter scene in name only. Its owners and operators have been an integral part of the New England group ski and snowboard business for over thirty years. During this time, they have been focused on quality customer service and developing important business relationships designed to save you money and avoid the aggravation and cost of driving to your favorite resorts. They’ve partnered with the best local resorts and retail establishments to offer relaxing transportation and a lift ticket for a price less than that of a regular full price lift ticket.

What should I expect on a New England Snow Bus trip?

New England Snow Bus strives to create an enjoyable mountain resort experience and a relaxed mode of transportation. Following is a description of events during a typical day trip to New England’s best winter resorts.

  1. You arrive at your chosen pickup location and are prepared to depart prior to the designated pickup time. The bus will not wait for tardy arrivals.
  2. A luxury motor coach with onboard restrooms and comfortable seating and TV monitors will arrive at the designated pickup location. You store your gear in the luggage compartments beneath the bus. It is recommended that you carry your boots and clothing onboard with you. Please do not wear ski boots onboard the bus.
  3. You board the bus with your confirmation email and photo ID and get comfortable for the ride ahead.
  4. The bus then drives directly to the designated resort. The bus does not make any stops so you are encouraged to bring food and drinks to enjoy during the ride.
  5. Depending on destination, arrival at the designated resort is generally between 8:30AM and 9:30AM, and possibly later if it is snowing or there is traffic.
  6. Upon arrival, the tour leader will distribute the lift passes.
  7. Hit the mountain and enjoy your day.
  8. The bus leaves the resort promptly at 4:30PM. You should plan to arrive back to the bus no later than 4:15PM so that the bus can make an on-time 4:30PM departure for the morning departure location. If you are renting equipment at the resort, you should plan to return your equipment and be at the bus no later than 4:15PM.
  9. Take advantage of not having to drive home and relax, watch a movie or take a nap.. The bus does not make any stops so you are encouraged to bring food and drinks to enjoy during the ride.
  10. Depending on distance, weather and road conditions, arrival at the return location is generally between 7:00PM and 9:00PM.

What's a Trip Leader?

Trip Leaders are a key part of the New England Snow Bus team. In exchange for a free lift pass, they help with check-in, questions and day trip logistics. Tour Leaders volunteer on a trip to trip basis and are responsible for attendance at check-in and departure and assist with lift ticket distribution. How far in advance should I sign-up?

As soon as you want to make some turns! Based on our trip popularity and industry partnerships, New England Snow Bus rarely needs to cancel a trip due to lack of interest. However, as a charter bus based operation, New England Snow Bus does have a minimum amount of participants that are needed to make a viable trip and you can help guarantee scheduled operation and a seat on the bus by booking early.

Is there a booking deadline?

Yes. In order for Trip Leaders to prepare for the upcoming trip, you must book by twelve noon, the day before the scheduled trip. To insure your seat on the bus, we recommend that you reserve 5 days prior to departure.

If I’m under 18 years old, can I participate in a day trip?

Participants under 18 years of age are welcome on the New England Snow Bus, if, and only if, they are accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. It is acceptable for a parent or legal guardian to ride the bus and accompany a minor for a discounted fee if the parent or legal guardian does not wish to purchase a lift ticket.

Can I only buy a lift ticket?

No. New England Snow Bus rates are based on round trip bus fare and lift ticket.

Can I ride the bus one-way?

The New England Snow Bus does not offer one-way transportation to the resorts.

Can I ride the bus if I already have a lift ticket or season pass or wish to accompany a participating minor?

Yes. Round trip bus fare is available for season pass holders, other ticket holders or parents or legal guardians who wish to ride the bus to accompany minors under the age of 18. 

How can I pay?

Payment to New England Snow Bus can be by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) or PayPal. No other types of payment are accepted. Our system is fully automated to accept these forms of payment online.New England Snow Bus can also be reached toll-free at 1-877-543-2810 to book over the phone; however, credit card is the only method of payment.

It is safe to use a credit card?

Yes. Our ecommerce system safeguards your financial and personal information by automatically encrypting all sensitive information between your computer and their servers. All of your information will not be stored anywhere and none of our employees will ever have access or see your credit card details.

Are refunds available?

In order to maintain low prices, there are no refunds or exchanges for any reason. However, New England Snow Bus reserves the right to cancel the bus trip due to low booking or other mitigating circumstances including but not limited to weather conditions. In such event, refunds will be provided to all the paid passengers.

Why must I provide my cell phone number?

In emergencies it may be necessary to contact you on short notice, such as a trip being cancelled, a pickup time change, etc. In such situations, a New England Snow Bus group leader will contact you. New England Snow Bus will not use your phone number for sales calls or any purpose other than emergency notifications. Furthermore, your phone number is kept private and confidential.

Can I rent equipment with New England Snow Bus?

No. New England Snow Bus does not provide rental services. However, rentals can be obtained at each resort. In some cases, reservations are recommended.

Can I reserve lessons with New England Snow Bus?

No. You can sign-up for lessons upon arrival at the resort. In some cases, reservations are recommended.

If a trip is cancelled, how will I be notified?

In the event of a cancelled trip, a representative of the New England Snow Bus will notify participants by email and by phone call. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure timely checking and receiving of all emails and phone messages.

Are refunds available?

Can I park at the pickup locations?

New England Snow Bus partners with local area outdoor sports vendors or utilizes area park and ride facilities in most locations. Please review specifics below. Trip participants are responsible for their cars while parked at the pickup locations. New England Snow Bus does not assume any responsibility for vehicles being ticketed, towed, stolen or damaged.

 

Boston, MA Pickup Location - 808 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston MA 02215

The Boston Pickup Location is located in front of the 808 Gallery, which is located at 808 Commonwealth Avenue. Parking is not abundant at the Boston Pickup Location. City of Boston parking regulations are in effect for all trips departing from Boston. Before parking your vehicle, make sure to observe all parking regulations. Trip participants are encouraged to take public transportation as it is easily accessible by train, bus or taxi. Parking meters, which may be free on Sundays, may be available.

Andover, MA Park n Ride - I-93 Exit 42 at Dascomb Road

Convenient, easy, free day parking is available at the Andover Park n Ride, located at Exit 42 on Dascomb Road on the Tewksbury border.


What if I miss the bus at my pickup location?

You should expect the bus to depart your pickup location at the time listed on this website and contained in your confirmation email. You should be at the pickup location in advance of this pickup time and ready to board the bus. New England Snow Bus recommends that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The bus will leave on time and will not wait for late passengers. There are no refunds for late passengers so please arrive early and be prepared to board the bus on arrival so that the bus can be underway for everyone to enjoy their day. 


Where SHOULD I put my skis or board?

New England Snow Bus charters luxury motor coaches with storage compartments located underneath the bus. Ski and snowboard bags are recommended but not necessary.

What do I need to board the bus?

You need to bring a copy of your confirmation email and driver’s license or photo ID that verifies your age for adults. Proof of age is not required for accompanied minors.

If I booked for myself and others, do they need a boarding pass?

No. When you purchase multiple trip packages, it is indicated on our trip roster. Please print and bring your confirmation email and receipt. The remainder of your group does not need a confirmation email but does need a driver’s license or photo ID.


What should I bring on the bus?

Participants are encouraged to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages aboard the bus. Movies, headphones and books are also encouraged. Ski/snowboard boots may be kept warm inside the coach during the ride to the mountain; however, they must be in the baggage compartment under the coach on the return ride. Boots may not be worn on the coach at anytime. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are absolutely forbidden on the bus.

Can I leave my belongings on the bus during the day?

Yes. The bus is locked while you are out enjoying your day. While your belongings should be safe onboard the bus, we recommend that you not leave high-value personal belongings onboard. New England Snow Bus assumes no responsibility for any items lost or stolen on the bus. Since, the bus driver does not typically remain on the bus during the day and at times the bus is not parked at an accessible location, please be sure to take everything that you will need for the day with you. Each resort has locker rentals and/or bag check services enabling you to access your belongings throughout the day.

What if I miss the bus when it leaves the resort?

The bus leaves the resort at the scheduled time, which is on-time, typically at 4:30 PM. It is your responsibility to return to the bus 15 minutes prior to departure. If you rented equipment at the resort, you should plan to return the rental equipment and be back at the bus for 4:15 PM. Based on restrictions placed on drivers, the bus will not wait for late passengers. Only in the event of an injury should you miss the bus ride home. If you are injured, please notify someone with you or the ski patrol and/or first aid personnel that you are a passenger with the New England Snow Bus so that the tour leader can try to assist you and adjust the headcount accordingly. If you are injured, you are responsible for the costs of first aid and medical bills. If you do miss the bus ride home, you are responsible for the costs associated with transportation home.

Does the bus stop for breakfast or dinner?

No. In order to make it back to the morning departure location in a timely manner, the bus does not stop until it arrives at the morning departure locations.  Please bring any food, snacks, and drinks that you will want for breakfast and dinner. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted onboard the bus.  

Does the bus have a restroom onboard?

Yes, there is a restroom on the bus.

What time do we return to the morning pickup location?

The bus will depart the resorts at 4:30PM and will arrive at the morning pickup locations roughly 2.5 to 4 hours later depending on distance from the resort, weather and traffic conditions.
